Week 3: End users interviews

Updated: Mar 2, 2022

This week we got to the part where we're figuring out the specific problems of our domain. After the interviews we've done the interviews with the experts and got their perspective on the problems in the field of maintaining relationships between couples, we wanted to put their hypotheses and our questions to the test. We reached out some of our potential end users. the background of our potential users is young (25-35) people who have been in a relationship for the past year and most of them live with their partner. The idea behind the interviews was mainly to understand the dynamics of these kind of relationships, how did they get to the situation they're in the relationship, what do they like in they're relationship and what do the think they should improve. We interviewed both men and women, to get a wider perspective on the issues that the couples handle with. When we talked about they're issues, the main problems that came up were diverse - Some talked about getting into the routine of the couple lifestyle, some talked about being patient and accepting to their partner. Most of them emphasized the need to understand their partner as an individual, yet reflected a need to improve the companionship in their relationship. From our interviews we didn't see a major difference between the answers of men and women.

The interviews emphasized the lack of companionship in existing relationships and showed us that there is a real problem we can try to solve.
