Week 23: The final ceremony is getting closer

Over the past two weeks we made sure that we were ready for the final presentation. On the programming side we updated the UI to the latest versions, ran a few tests on a real android phone and changed a few small things so it will work perfectly at the ceremony. On the design side, we checked the final screens and the interactions before the final event and the demo pitch we had on May 25th.

The Demo event was intense because we had the opportunity to present our pitch to over ten mentors from various industries. We got profound feedback for the next step, in order to make the best out of our app. For example, as we deliver the pitch, we were told we should emphasize the location-based sending option more than the others because it is the added value. In addition, we received many tips for framing our app's story and the process; Instead of telling what we haven't figured out yet, we should tell what we intend to do in the future (always be positive 😃 right?).

Moreover, The literature research we conducted and the branding we did for our app and were shown on the table, impressed them too.

Despite being tired after the demo session (geesh it is hard to talk so much…) we watched our product video (which Dotan kept as a secret from Maya, Muna and Shir. for no reason) and we showed it later on to Noa and Ofir. We received important feedback from them to make the video professional and perfect.

This week, our final week 🥺, we are focusing on writing the text which will appear on the landing page of our product website and the lab website. The text should describe our app, its goal and the way it works technically.

The end of the semester is getting closer and the time goes by too fast. It will be hard to sum up this important phase of our journey at miLAB. But we will keep the tears and the summary for next week, after the final event on June 7th - see you then!

Oh! We didn't mention but our amazing photographer and programmer - Dotan, brought his professional camera and we took team photos, here some of them.
